Cozy weekend

Indecisive spring...like me. With upcoming deadlines and resolutions, all I want today is a little bit of coziness.

How is your weekend going so far?

A wise man in Central Park

Continuing with the series of random encounters, after the blindfolded hula hooper and the musician under the bridge
I stumbled upon a wise man in Central Park.

He stopped in front of a well built guy that was enjoying his chocolate ice cream and told him
"One can be macho and tough, but there's always time for chocolate."
Applause from the audience!

Brooklyn Mutt Show II

And this has been the highlight of the show... Star Trek vs Star Wars
When I saw Yoda, I almost choked laughing!

(Hey, there was something going on here... shows interbreed!)
and this was Laura Palmer!?! I guess it is fair, for the non-sci-fi nerds out there :)

Brooklyn Mutt Show

My day has been filled with furry cuteness, kisses (A LOT of saliva flowing) and barking concerts.
The 3rd Annual Brooklyn Mutt Show was fun, non pretentious and aimed to raise money for rescued animals.

and tomorrow I will show you my favorite part of the show...

Fortune cookie camera love

It might be because spring is in the air...

but even fortune cookie cameras think that love is everywhere. How sweet!
(and yes, this time the camera was not properly working GRRR)

My fridge, a common space

This is my entry for "The Things Found Series", another Art House Co-op project.

In my refrigerator you can find: broccoli, string beans, yogurt, pickled ginger (yumm, love it), soy sauce, milk and candies... looks quite healthy, right? Just because the roasted boar wrapped in bacon was on another shelf! hahahah

Here you can check my previous entry "Self-portrait with food" for their project  "The Meal".

First day of Spring

What a day, so many colors and flavors!

Today I had two free macaroons, generously offered by François Chocolate Bar and Mad-Mac “The Authentic French Macarons” for Macaron Day NYC 2012. Then I lost myself in bubbles in Central Park -- I could watch them for hours! At dinner, I had Grimaldi's pizza for the first time in my life, good call to end the day! Now I am listening to Nina Simone and I am so ready for bed.
I hope you had a wonderful day.

PS do you like my rainbow nail polish? Only on one hand, too lazy to do both :P

Spring Fling

Being a list-lover, it is so exciting to think about the things I am looking forward to this spring.
The very first day of spring might include freebies! Macaroons and Italian ice, for a sweet start of the season!

What's on your list?

St. Patrick's day Parade II

A few more shots, acrobatic, grooving, sexy and... a bit lost? :)

hahahah the crowd is as fun as the actual parade, no doubt about that!
How can you not love parades in New York? :D

St. Patrick's Day Parade NYC

You know how much I love parades, right? Still... from 11AM to 5PM?!? I bet they get drunk shortly afterward!
To warm up after the long day, I dove into a soup, but a bucket of beer would have been just fine ;)

iPad launch in New York

waiting, waiting, waiting...

that's being patient... I.AM.NOT! ;)

Had a happy pi(e) day?!?

Yesterday I found out, by chance, that March 14th (3.14 that is) is National Pi(e) day.
A pretty obscure and nerdy thing, I guess, to celebrate the mathematical constant pi (π), which leads to pie.
OK, either you are completely lost or amused by the whole thing... of course I found it amusing :D

And this is how I have celebrated, with an apple crumble pie straight form the Green market!

Hula hooping in the park

How did this handsome guy know I want to learn hula hoop?

And he was rehearsing blindfolded... sounds good to me, as long as I can see what I am doing!

Wit on Broadway!

Exceptionally good show! Cynthia Nixon is a spectacular actress! I cried, sobbed and laughed.
The one downside? Only a few days left to see it. Go, if you have the chance!

Unexpected melody

The weekend had wonderful ups and a couple of downs... i.e., running an anti-virus scan on my MacBook, inconceivable!
As you can imagine, the unexpected concert on the riverside counts as an Up!

Happy weekend

What are your plans for the weekend? Things on my list: Broadway show, party, brunch...
I'll be back soon, in the meantime, happy weekend folks!

How to cheer up a Gemini - 102

This is a fairly simple trick... although pretty weird, I have to admit.

1. Show the world how miserable you are, until someone as crazy as you shows up at your door with a humongous Hello Kitty balloon. 2. Share you daily routine with the kitten... making sure that the giant inflatable does not scare you to death when you wake up in the middle of the night and you see it floating above your head!

Wildlife in New York... always breathtaking!

Looking up is always worth the danger of falling into sidewalk basement doors left open!

This naughty cutie was hunting a squirrel... after all, one has to make a living ;)

Music for the weekend

Finally I have found out their name... instant LOVE! Highly suggested, and the video is also interesting.

Art Gallery Crawl NYC

People making art for other people... and drinking wine. Can you think of a better way to spend your night?

And now... a donut! hahaha

Leap day... meh

I have to admit, I was full of hopes for the 29th of February. An extra day to play with, no reason not to be excited about it!
Well, it turned out to be an annoying pain in the neck. This has been the highlight of the day, a relaxing-yummy break at my favorite Japanese bookstore and cafe.

Welcome March!
